The public launch of the three-year Project Increasing food production and livelihood improvement in the Kamiranzovu marshland area, Burera, or KUNGAHARA Burera (KungaBu) in short. Funded by the EU, the Project will be jointly implemented by Burera District and ARECO-RWANDA NZIZA.

Study tour to two sites with operational solar-powered systems, offering the opportunity to hear from communities already benefiting from these systems. A similar initiative will be implemented by the KungaBu Project in Butaro.

A joint field visit under Kungabu Project will be conducted by EU, Burera District and ARECO-RWANDA NZIZA to assess the progress of the project, as it enters its Year 2.

As part of the EU-funded KungaBu Project, approximately 5,000 agroforestry and fruit tree seedlings will be distributed and planted in Biyove Village, Butaro Sector, Burera District.

A study tour in Kinoni Sector, Burera District, will be conducted under the KungaBu Project with a focus on examining the implementation of soil conservation practices in farming.
