BASOLI PROJECT

The Bamboo Promotion for soil conservation and improved livelihoods in the surrounding zones of the Volcanoes National Park «BASOLI/PNV» project is a joint initiative funded by the Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC). The project is implemented under the coordination of RDB/PNV, in partnership with RNRA, local administration and communities. The first phase of BASOLI was implemented by the Association Rwandaise des Ecologistes « ARECO-RWANDA NZIZA » from April 2009 to September 2010. The second phase that started in October 2010 is jointly implemented by RWANDA BAMBOO SOCIETY (RWABASO) and ARECO-RWANDA NZIZA for a period of 8 months. HOME MOVIE PROJECT

Synchronizing French documentary movie HOME into Kinyarwanda

The current HOME Movie Project aims at producing a full-length Kinyarwanda edition of HOME for public awareness and educational purposes.

HOME is a documentary movie by Yann-Arthus Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on Earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet. The documentary pictures the awful truths regarding our impact on the Earth, but also what we are now doing to combat and reverse it: including renewable energy, the creation of more and more protected areas, International cooperation between various nations on environmental issues and teaching next generations respect to all forms of living.
