Founded in 1991 by people concerned with environment degradation especially deforestation in Rwanda

Seeks to promote sustainable development trough environment protection

ARECO seeks to promote a sound and pleasant environment for a sustainable social and economic development. The main objectives include:

To sensitise the population to the conservation and sustainable management of environment;

To protect and preserve the natural resources and environment;

To promote eco tourism

Three main areas of intervention:

* Biodiversity conservation

* Environmental education & Public awareness

* Works with local communities especially women and youth on PA
